Italy Fiscalization for Dynamics 365 Commerce

Frontline Tech’s Italy Fiscalization solution enables retailers operating in Italy to integrate local fiscal requirements directly into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce.

The solution connects Store Commerce with the supported Epson FP-90III fiscal printer through the local Hardware Station. Fiscalization runs automatically as part of the normal POS workflow, while Italian fiscal information and printer responses are linked to the corresponding commerce transaction and made available in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for traceability.

Key features & benefits

Seamless Epson fiscal integration

Connects Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce with the supported Epson fiscal printer environment, embedding Italian fiscalization into the normal Store Commerce workflow.

Italian fiscal receipts

Fiscal sales are processed through the Epson fiscal printer, generating the required fiscal document with supported tax and payment information.

Fiscal return handling

Returns are fiscalized through the Epson device with reference to the original fiscal transaction, providing traceability between the original sale and the corresponding return.

Fiscal transaction traceability

Fiscal registration information and the Epson printer response are linked to the corresponding commerce transaction, providing traceability from the original POS transaction to its fiscal result.

Fiscal data in Finance & Operations

Fiscal transaction information is synchronized to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and stored together with the corresponding transaction data.

Fiscal reporting and daily closure

The solution supports Epson fiscal X and Z reporting, including the required daily fiscal closure process.

Scope & responsibilities

What’s not included

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce licensing.
  • Customer-specific commerce processes or integrations outside the agreed Italy fiscalization scope.
  • Epson fiscal hardware or associated third-party components required for operation.
  • Integration with alternative fiscal devices outside the supported Epson architecture.
  • Italian SDI electronic invoicing, which is planned as a future localization capability.

Customer responsibilities

  • Maintain the required Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce environment and licensing.
  • Procure, configure and maintain a supported Epson FP-90III fiscal printer.
  • Maintain the required local Hardware Station and Epson fiscal printer software/configuration.
  • Maintain any other third-party components required for operation.

Frontline Tech provides the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce implementation and integration with the supported Italian Epson fiscal printer setup, but does not provide or resell the required fiscal hardware or associated third-party components.

Future fiscalization capabilities

The current release focuses on hardware-based Store Commerce fiscalization using the supported Epson setup. Frontline Tech also plans to support Italy’s cloud-based fiscalization model once it is officially available from the Italian authorities.

Built on Microsoft standards

The solution is designed to interoperate with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce and integrates Italian fiscalization into the existing Store Commerce and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations architecture.
